Feasting on Code: My Whimsical Tiidelab Culinary Quest Continues

Welcome to another delectable and flavorful chapter, Month 3.0, in my delightful journey at Tiidelab. This journey has been nothing short of a culinary adventure, simmering with excitement and tantalizing experiences. This month, we've been cooking up something special as we've implemented HTML and Tailwind CSS to spice up our Padipay project. My role? Crafting the mouthwatering mobile view design that adds a dash of elegance to our project. So grab your digital forks and knives, because this journey promises to be a delicious treat for the senses In our journey, much like a delightful baking and fun-filled cooking series, we had the pleasure of being guided by the talented Mr. GodsWill Udoh. He skillfully introduced us to the art of project management, making it as enjoyable as whipping up a batch of our favorite treats. During this scrumptious adventure, we mixed in essential tools such as Trello, Slack, and Notion, adding a pinch of excitement to our skill set

The culinary adventure didn't stop there! We continued our baking and fun-filled expedition with a Guest Leaders Series featuring the delightful Mr. Ayodele Aransiola and the charismatic Mr. Audu Isah. They shared with us a theme as delightful as a perfectly baked cake: 'Sustainable Progress in Software Engineering: What to Do and Avoid for Career Advancement". As they shared their insights, it was like adding layers of frosting to our knowledge. They left us with a tray full of key takeaways:

1-Craft a roadmap for your journey.

2-Build a project; don't get stuck in the learning phase

3-Spice up your career by contributing to open source.

4-Savor responsibility, accept mistakes and ask for help when needed.

5-Satisfy your appetite for growth by attending paid tech events.

6-Savor the mentorship experience - both as a mentee and a mentor.

7-If it's not challenging, then you are not growing, much like adding that secret ingredient to a recipe "As we relish every part of our flavorful journey, think of these insights as the secret spices that make our software engineering journey taste even better. Our cooking adventure is just starting, and we're eager to enjoy every bit of it, just like chefs having fun in the kitchen."

We had a wonderful MUNGA series that was both enlightening and captivating. I had the privilege of representing Bangladesh as the Prime Minister and addressing the theme of 'Rebuilding Trust and Reigniting Global Solidarity: Accelerating the SDGs 2030 Actualization through Digital Technology for Global Prosperity.' This experience not only improved my public speaking skills but also exposed me to diverse perspectives, and I'm grateful for my journey with Tiidelab, which has been enriching both technically and personally. It emphasized the value of teamwork and meaningful discussions with fellow country representatives. Special thanks to our program coordinator, Aderoju Shamsudeen Adedapo, for making this experience possible.

Furthermore, another delightful part of our journey is our mentorship sessions with Mr. Samsudeen Yusuf. These sessions are where we find solutions to our challenges, and his mentorship is truly top-notch. During these sessions, we discuss our personal goals, how to achieve them, and what can help us become better software engineers.

I thoroughly enjoyed our in-person meetup, where we had a candid discussion about Imposter syndrome, led by Aisha Opaluwa. We delved into strategies for overcoming it, which was incredibly valuable.

Additionally, we immersed ourselves in the fascinating world of critical thinking, guided by Mr. Shams. He introduced us to concepts such as Bloom's Taxonomy, the critical thinking process, and how to apply critical thinking skills. These insights were aimed at helping us become better versions of ourselves. To put our newfound knowledge to the test, we engaged in group tasks that required us to apply critical thinking, allowing us to gauge our level of critical thinking proficiency. Furthermore, we dived into practical sessions using De-Bono's Six Thinking Hats, where we assumed different 'hats' in our decision-making and critical thinking processes.

As we continued our JavaScript journey, it was like exploring the world of recipes. We got a better grasp of what algorithms are and how they are like essential ingredients in our JavaScript 'cooking.' We dived into topics like sorting, dynamic programming, and searching with BFS+DFS, and even tried our hand at 'recursion recipes. These algorithms weren't just theoretical concepts; they were like special techniques we could use in our Padipay Project, adding unique flavors to our coding. We also learned about 'Big O' notations, which are like measuring the cooking time for our recipes to make sure they're efficient. In our cooking adventure, we also talked about 'error handling' in JavaScript, which is a bit like knowing how to fix a dish if something goes wrong. This journey has made us more skilled and confident JavaScript chefs in our coding kitchen.

As I conclude my 3-month Tiidelab journey, I'm brimming with joy and a rejuvenated sense of purpose on my journey as a software developer.

'Code is the poetry of logic, and software development is the art of crafting digital sonnets that shape the future.' Thank you Tiidelab for this incredible journey.
